We have an account with zero payment problems and 4 days ago without warning the account went off line. The control panel looked fine. No warning from Google. Nothing!
After scratching around for days trying to find out why we weren't receiving impressions I finally found out that they'd canned us, and the reason was this "related" account (no details about this account were forthcoming by the way) which had disputed "legitimate" charges.
Well, I don't know if anyone thinks I am getting all upset about nothing but this is definately out of line. Let's say this account is related to me (I have no idea if it is or not) - who decides which charges are legitimate? This really is a case of sling shots against tanks. How can you dispute a charge (right or wrong) if this is what Google will do to you?
I am not saying this is a good thing. it could be classified as "rude", but I might decide to do that and as a provider of the service I might have the right under the agreement.
This is all hypothetical.
If that's the case it's a bit like a drunk driver getting caught in one car and then driving another thinking that the ban only applies to the one car.
There's more to this than either you know, or are giving us as information. In time it will pan out, that's the time to look back and etablish right and wrong, Google are only trying to protect themselves, I guess.
Actually I didn't make any chargeback.
If you think the full facts will make things clearer: 6 months ago a company we deal with (and Google knows of this relationship because we buy Premium Ads together) made a chargeback for erroneous charges made by Google (for traffic they didn't deliver). They had to make the chargeback because google did not answer their e-mails for a period of weeks. In my experience Google responds very quickly to technical and sales inquiries, but they are awful when it comes to billing problems. Google had made charges for traffic which had not appeared on the statistics. Nobody knows where these charges came from. This company just made a chargeback for an unexplained bill.
Now - that was 6 months ago, and nobody has heard a peep out of Google since. Suddenly, my account goes off line without warning. What would you think if you were me? I am only assuming that this other company is the one which has caused the problem becuase I know of no other chargebacks.
