I started a campaign a couple of weeks ago and it's getting good. The thing is the merchant I'm linking too in my adwords ad doesn't let me add my tracking code so I can check out the conversions.
This means that I'm totally blind regarding to find which phrases and keywords generate the most sales.
I have though of a way of testing the conversion: It would be
1) to test the pitch, I will have to use the same pitches on most of the groups for a week let's say and see the sales. Then, the week after try with another string and so on..
2) To test the keywords and the associated audiences, I tought about joining groups in packs and running those packs alternately on adwords... Like a week these ads, and the other week, these other keywords. Meaning that I would have to pause the groups I'm not displaying to see if they create sales...
These two kind-of solutions, seem to be really time consuming and not very effective. Is there something I'm missing here?
Thanks for any comments ans assistance,

The first idea is to use the same sales pitch on all adgrops until I find a pitch that seems to generate the most sells over a week or two weeks period. Of course not all the adgroups have the same keywords so no all the same pitches have the same effect, it all depends on the keywords you are targetting. But I already use a pitch on the second line of the ad that is the same for all my groups, maybe I could try and change this pitch?
As for the second idea, pausing ad groups, does anyone here as the info about when does google reset the CTR info, and for how long could it be safe to pause some groups?
Thanks
