If I rename an Adgroup, will I lose the historical stats associated with it? Will it affect anything at all, like resetting the Adgroup as though it was starting from scratch again?

I renamed some of my ad groups on Friday and the rest on Sunday - and I have not seen any ill effects on traffic or performance thus far.

And I presume you retain the history of stats but just with the new name?

I just ran a daily ad group report for the last week and I have all the data both pre and post change.

From what I can tell, AdGroup names and Campaign names are purely cosmetic. They simply for organization purposes. Should have no effect either way.
