How long, ordinarily, would it take for an ad that is in the first or only position position to show up on AOL? Cheers, S

Once it hits a CTR of greater than 1% it takes a couple of days as a general rule from what we have seen, but there is probably no hard and fast rule, it's when AOL feels like it likely.

Sometimes I have noticed that your ads don't appear in AOL even after you achieve the min requirements (God knows why that happens). Just drop an email to AdWords Support with the keyword specifics and they go up in AOL after a couple of days.

A new or edited "creative" is first reviewed by an editor prior to inclusion on partner sites. This can take a few days. Generally, if your ad is one of the top four results it will appear on AOL once reviewed.

Sorry for the dumb question, but where exactly on AOL does it show up? I have recently installed the AOL client in order to test our HTML email newsletter, so I would be able to check that out too...
Thanks

I don't have AOL. I just typed "aol search" into Google. Best, S
