Delay in new campaigns going live?

Over the holiday weekend, i created a new campaign with 3 ad groups in it. The major search term is centered around a particular game. In each ad group, i created 2 text ads, to split-test, and am running about 50 keywords or so, in each ad group. I am only using Google's search network [unchecked the content nework], none of my keywords are flagged as onhold or intrial, and I am at Google's daily recommended budget. I do have a different campaign already running where i am getting decent results.

I've yet to see the campaign go live [its now Wednesday], and not one impression has showed.

Is there an unusual delay/backlog in getting new campaigns live?

I had the same problem over the holiday weekend. I moved my key phrases with high sales to their own campaign so they would be easier to monitor and so I could achieve better CTR. I did this on Friday and was yet to see one impression through Tuesday. So yesterday I moved the phrases back into their original campaigns and they immediately went live. I have no idea why their would be a such a long delay in setting up a new campaign?
