Welcome to WebmasterWorld Guest from 188.8.131.52
AWA - I'd like to hear what you have to say about this. I was placing a test order on my site and noticed it. I must have clicked on one of my ads. This was a different image, not just "Google Site Stats". I didn't take a screen shot of it.
Stevenmusumeche, there's nothing new on this front so far as I'm aware. I'll check into it further tomorrow, though, to see if I've missed something.
As I recall, clicking the logo has, for many, many months, taken users to a page which explains how we track (and which also has a link to provide feedback). I'll have to dig for a date, and will work on that tomorrow.
In the meantime, lots of info about the feedback component is available in the AdWords Help Center, here:
How do I get to see this mention (any conversion google message)... without me clicking on my own ads... which initiates it showing?
You'll only see the text box if you clicked on your ad in the past 30 days, and then navigated to the conversion page. Otherwise it won't show. If memory serves, this change and the addition of a feedback link occurred at the same time.
I believe the image contained some wording similar to "Click To Rate" which was new to me. I look foward to hearing from you.
Stevenmusumeche, one of the pages linked to from the page I mentioned up above is this one:
Why is Google collecting user feedback?
If you go to that page, then click the "page that explains" link in the last paragraph, you'll see what users see. Does this look like what you saw before?
PS - Heading out now, but back tomorrow!
I'm still trying to find the exact date on which leaving feedback became an option - however, I recall it as being nearly a year ago. August 2004, I think.
so either you are confused in what you saw, or AWA hasnt managed to track the right person down.
Heheh. Nice to see you posting more often recently, Shak!
Just for reference, the Site Stats text I'd expect to see can be used in one of two ways, and should look (roughly!) like one or the other of these carefully crated examples:
Google Site Stats
Google Site Stats - send feedback
(With the appropriate size, centering in the first one, and 'linkosity' of course.)
