Changing destination/display URL

How can I avoid loss of rank?

So I have two identical websites. One is xyz.com the other is zyx.com. My ad currently points to xyz.com but I think zyx.com would be better for business. I maintain the top rank and im scared to change my ad. Im scared that I will lose that top spot or even worse, have my ad somehow dissaproved. It was once taken down because its a sensitive product that I sell. They re-established it once before, but I really dont want any problems. Should I make a new account for the other domain name? Would that not raise my CPC like crazy? If I do that, do the ads need to have different copy or can I have two identical ads pointing to two different domain names that each have the same content?

how about adding a second ad to the very same adgroup. it would have the different destination URL. if you are tracking conversions, you will be able to compare them head to head. if the second one wins out (give it some time to catch up), then delete the first.

So like an idiot I took my ad which had the #1 ranking at 40 cents/click and changed the URL to a better one that I think will get a higher CTR. I lost the top position under the search box and im now paying $3 a click which makes me VERY MAD!
