HI,
Google recently suprised me with one of their periodic reviews and of course the account was slowed tremendously for 6 days. Anyway, they gave me a bunch of disapproved ads to correct and resubmit. I have corrected the ads and they were sent back to me because of inaccurate display URLs. I have checked them over and over again and they are all correct. What am I doing wrong? I know that I am new to adwords, but I realize that the display URL must reflect the website. Please help me.

If you're using a redirect, affiliate link, or 3rd party tracking system, sometimes you have to request an exception for the disply URL.

In the request an exception, let Google know that it's a full redirect/aff link and that it does resolve to the proper site.

Thank you for replying.
I need to know one thing...How do you check to see if your redirect destination URLs are working? Right now I have 10 disapproved ads which I know are not working because of this.

Copy the URL you're putting in your ad, paste it into your browser, and see where it leads you.

Just a note, make sure you're copying the link exactly, some sites need to have the www in front, others don't have it, and others can go either way, etc.

I have been doing that, and they all seem to go to either different sites or search engines.

What are you advertising, a random link generator?

You can click your ads from within your account to see where they go.

Sometimes url's are disapproved because Google can't reach the site. Could be during a backup, server glitch, anything else. It looks like they try only once. If this happens to you, it's best to reply to the disapproval email and ask them to try again. You can't resubmit an unchanged ad.
