Very interesting. But if it got that bad, all of the major news organizations (ap, upi, chicago tribune, wall street journal, new york times, washington post) would really only have to ban all search engine bots associated with google.

In fact, since all the news orgs rely on ap and upi for stories, if access to their information was blocked, this new media creature could never come to life.

The thing is, google, in any incarnation, can only go but so far. Because google doesn't CREATE anything...it just orders and sorts and prioritizes.
