I currently pay €.10 per click in Europe. The min bid for the USA is €.34. What do i do if i want to get listed in the USA, if I increase my min bid to .34 all my click are increased to that price for all geo locations, if I create a new campaign it cost €5. Is creating a new campaign the only solution?
Also is it advisable to lclik on you own ads to get a higher ranking rather than increase the bid?
Thanks all,
Dave
To create a new campaign, you don't get charged the $5 or what not, as you get charged that when you sign up & when your campaign needs reactivation.
As for the rest about selling in the US, vs UK, etc - perhaps another member has some experience to share.
In response to the "how to get listed in the US", the price discounter will ensure that your CPC is appropriate for the country your ad is shown.
So if you add the US to a campaign and you need to pay more then you only pay more for that country, whatever your average CPC was without it will be what you pay in other countries. Some people will tell you that putting the US campaigns in their own group might be the best thing to do, but the overall CTR will have a bearing on the position you occupy even if in the US you don't get traffic below the level indicated
daveb, clicking on your own ads is like sending yourself a valentine. In competitive arenas your one click won't amount to a hill of beans, your time would be better spent refining the creative and keyword pool.
You could also try Power Posting but I'll say no more on the subject than that.
Thanks for the prompt reply, very impressive forum. Am I correct in saying if I bid 35 for the states then I will also have to pay 35 or whatever the highest price is for outside the states which could be 20 cent or so instead of just paying my 5 cent to be down the list.
What do you mean by "but the overall CTR will have a bearing on the position you occupy even if in the US you don't get traffic below the level indicated "
Also does the CTR apply on an overall basis or just to each region os a good CTR in SPain will give me a high listing there even if my US CTR is bad?
Thx, Dave.
