Disable Content on just some Ad Groups

This would be really handy...

I have most of my campaigns set to allow distribution on the Content Network. In general, the conversions are about half as good, but it varies tremendously. I have a few Ad Groups where traffic from the content network converts 1/10th as well or less. I have a couple where the Content traffic converts better.

Ideally, I would like to be able to turn the Content Network on and off for each Ad Group instead of just each Campaign.

I know I can create an extra Campaign with the Content Network turned off and put the Ad Groups in there if I don't want Content, but I don't know until I see how well they convert. I'm willing to try Content for everything to find out, then turn it off for the really poor converters.

I guess I could create a separate Campaign for each AdGroup, too, but that's quite a waste of Campaigns and would put me well over the recommended number of Campaigns.

Does anyone have another solution?

I just wanted to bump this in hopes that AWA will see it.

As I see it, my only real choice now is to disabled Content for everything. Google will miss out on revenue if I do that.

I'd like to be able to set different bid prices for content match like I can in Overture. I'd also like to be able to set specific budgets for it as well. When they advance that, I'll turn click-fraud match back on, until then, they'll have to prey on the newer users.

Just set up a new campaign and move the ad groups that you don't want in "content" to the new campaign group which you can edit so that it is "search only".

Unfortunately there is no easy way to do this. You have to delete the search terms from the one campaign and start them up new in the new one (unless I'm really missing something).

I would really like to do this with a few of our ad groups but I don't want to mess with them because they are working so well. As a result "content" is turned off.

MovingOnUp, your point is well taken - and I actually quoted you, verbatim, in the Advertiser Feedback Report I sent out on the day you originally posted.

So, while there is not currently the ability to make partner choices for individual Ad Groups, please know that your comments have been passed on to the right team.
