Today I received an email from Google, explaining to me that they disabled two ads (which actually had a nice CTR) because the ad was disapproved of. The email - though automated - was very helpful, outlining what exactly was wrong with the ads. It turned out that I did keyword matching, and my alternative text was too long. Even though I wonder why they didn't realize that at the time I entered the ads, I still think it was pretty good service to email me about that.

There was a link in the ad too, which directed me to a tool I haven't seen so far - the "Disapproved ads tool". I clicked on it and had a very straightforward interface, showing me exactly the affected ads, the reason for disabling, the DATE of disabling and it even had an Edit button, so I could change the ad immediately.

Pretty cool! Saved me digging through my campaigns. Anybody seen this before? Probably I was only ignorant so far...

Never heard about the dissaproved ads tool. Where on the site is it?

In your account, click on Tools.

Under 'Analyze Your Ad Performance', it's the 2nd one listed.

The tool was feature today as I logged in in the first page of the backend. Seems not many people used it so far so they needed to make it more popular.
