KeyWords On Hold?

Are They Really?

I've noticed on very long keywords (4 to 5 words per line) that after a few hours nearly all of those keywords go "On Hold". However, when I search for those keywords, they always come up on ads via Google. What really is "On Hold"? I'm confused. What do they really mean by that term? Thanks.

Do you mean your own ads coming up? If this is the case, my guess would be:

- The long keywords are still on hold.

- The ads were shown due to one of the broad phrases which contains one (two or three) of the same words as your long keywords.

You can check it by using "Ads Diagnostic Tool" to see which ads are showing.

This could also be a case in which the updating of the 'status' column is running behind. I've noticed some delays in this area recently, and we're working to eliminate them.
