• The display URL and destination URL must agree
• You must not simply frame content from a different site
• Your landing page can't just be a bridge page with the sole purpose of driving traffic to another site.
The first 2 points were to be expected. The 3rd is the really worrying bit - 99% of the landing pages knocked up in the last month or so will be culled because of that.
Oh well, guess I'd better pull my finger out and start adding value then. doh!
Although it would be a big hassle for many, it could definitely force a lot of people to build more useful sites. It'll be interesting to see how well this is enforced, if this truly is their new policy.
I'm definitely fallen foul to disgruntled adwords staff taking my ads down for the weakest of reasons, although it's not happened for a while now. Watch me jinx myself now.
When did you change or create your new AdGroups and/or new ads with new landing pages?
How long after putting them up before the ax fell?
I'm walking on eggs myself wondering if my landing pages have passed the test yet. I made my changes almost 3 weeks ago. I'm still up and running, but concerned that they just haven't gotten to mine yet.
