When I am creating an ad in Adwords and I click on a link to test it is there a cost? Does Google consider that a click and charge me?

Zeus,

Are you referring to testing the ad by clicking on it within the Adwords Campaign Management interface? I sure as hell hope that there is no cost associated with it as I click on every ad creative that I create to test it.

Clicking on an ad within your adwords account does not count as a click.

If you mouse over the link, or look at the link properties - it's a straight link - no tracking code - no nothing.

It's only when the link is put through the system and shown outside of your account that clicking on your ad counts as a click.

On a related note...the click does show up as a click in CJ i believe. Ofcourse...that's just a reporting thing and there's no cost associated.
