Weird Bug Google Adwords

Not sure this post will get through but thought the bug was worthy of description to see if others are having similar issues - the exact replication of the bug is on my blog at - [example.com...]

basically in a nutshell some of my ads are redirecting to the google keyword suggestion tool. It would appear that the redirect looks fine - but upon click it runs off to the keyword tool.

is anyone else finding this?

exact replication below:
To illustrate - I am advertising on a random, very specific query, such that I am the only advertiser on it.

Search on this query - love me tender friend - then my ad should be the only one there on the right. If its not their immediately refresh a couple times and it will show up.

If you click and hold the left mouse button on the link, you will see that it goes through a very standard normal commission junction redirect. But then if you click for real - aka click & release, you will be taken to the Google keyword suggestion tool.

help?

Iamchmod, I'll ping the tech folks on this, although Ive certainly never heard of such a thing in the past!

I wonder if it could be some weird caching issue?

That said, I'm not sure that you want to be promoting the idea of lots of folks clicking on your ad. I think it would really be better (and cheaper for you!) to contact AdWords support directly, and have them take a look at the account in detail. ;)

Ahhh.

I think you want to make a change to your Destination URL. Where it now says .net/ change to .net/? and you should be good to go.

--thanks for the quick reply AWA

- don't worry about clicks on the ad - its a 5c word and I would assume since it appears google is losing something in the redirect that I wouldn't be charged?
- I have notified my adwords rep 2x today with no response
- I tried what you suggested to no avail - aka your work around. It redirects to a different CJ page telling me how to properly build links =)
- CJ is freaking out too

I am interested in seeing how this shakes out...

iamchmod, I am not the world's URL master by a long shot, but I'd triple check that after your .net/ you have a question mark followed by the correct formatted 'matched pairs'.

I'm pretty sure that triple checking everything will get it working for you. Maybe start over with the Destination URL, rather than trying to repair the existing one. All it takes is one character out of place, and our user will land in an unexpected place.

Hope you'll let me know how this turns out. ;)
