I have not seen anything official from Google about the changes. Can we now drop the "Aff" in affiliate ads? Also can someone post a link to Googles changes? Thanks

I created a new direct to merchant ad without the "aff" last week and it's still running just fine so far without being disabled so I'm assuming yes. It's been real interesting to see how it affects the CTR.

How did it affect CTR?

Interesting. I created some ads this week that go straight to the merchant with the (aff). Maybe I'll delete the (aff) and see what happens.

Although the "aff" was compulsory before, I've never had an ad disabled because I've left it off. And more often than not I did leave it off!
Presumably, because the new policy starts in "January" then we can start taking them off now, as it IS January.

I'm sure thats the case. I have ads that normally sit in the left-hand top sponsored position (which needs a manual review I think), - I removed the aff two days ago, and they've gone back into top sponsored position a day or so later.
