AdWords affects organic results?

I recently optimized all of my pages for the search engines and I'm now ranking very nicely. The thing is, I also recently started using AdWords and AdSense. Could that be boosting my SE rankings?

Also, what is your take on having an AdWords ad up for the same keyphrase you rank in the top 10 for organically?

Do both top ranking serp's and adwords. This helps conversions in many cases. Do make sure you measure.
