I've been lurking for weeks and have been starting up a Google adwords campaign with limited success so far, but my learning curve is growing Fast!

But here's the question I can't find an answer for:

Is there a way to find out what was the entire search phrase entered into google search that pulled up your ad. I'm wondering about this so that I can add negative keywords on any non-relavant search terms so I can improve my CTR.

For example if my adds were showing for the keyword: red bike

And someone typed in red smoking mountain bike to google search and it pulled up my add. Is there any report which would show me that the person actually typed in "red smoking mountain bike"?

Thanks for any help.

You'll need to check your own server logs for the referer string -- or write a script using php, coldfusion, etc, to record them in another database if you don't have access to server logs. The referer string looks something like

h ttp://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=widgets+with+hair

Inside the referer string is the search query string, starting with "q="

That,
or get a tracking software. There are some free ones like statcounter and goodkeywords, or you can pay and go wit hitslink or something even more powerful. All depends on how much you can spend to get these details.
