Is this allowed or are these missed by Google?
I did a search on Google and found that some of the AdWord ads dont show a url. Instead of showing "ww.domain.com" it shows something like "Get A Free Screensaver"Is this allowed or are these missed by Google?
Good question, novice. What you're seeing are almost certainly ads that have not yet been reviewed. As you may know, an advertiser's ads will go live on Google very quickly, before being reviewed in most cases, and then appear on partner sites after review/approval.
The ads you saw will be disapproved when they're reviewed, as they don't meet AdWords guidelines - which I have quoted below:
Display URL Must be Accurate* Your Display URL must accurately reflect the URL of your website. If your actual destination URL link is too long for your ad, use a shortened version (such as your homepage) that meets the character limit for this field.
* The Display URL field cannot be used as another line of ad text.
* Your Display URL must include the domain extension, for example: .com, .net, or .org.(Quoted from Editorial Guidelines: [adwords.google.com...] )

Heheh. This is what I had assumed, but we all know how dangerous that can be. ;)
HitProf actually makes an excellent point, which I failed to make - which is that on some partner sites, AdWords ads do show without their Display URL.

I noticed this sometime back and I found it odd. Why no display URL? Is there some sort of space constraint?
I feel display URL will help improve the CTR of the content ads.

Good question, vibgyor79 - and one to which I don't know the answer, since it is tending towards the world of AdSense - and I am not a real 'nitty gritty' expert in that arena.
I do know that there are a variety of formats from which publishers may choose, and while most include Display URLs, there are a few that do not. For your ref, here are the formats:

AWA, what about if my URL is www.mycompanyintheunitedstatessellingwidgets.com? What if the URL of even the home page is too long?
Sorry Macro, I didn't see this till just now, as I was looking for quotes for the Advertiser Feedback report.
So, in cases such as the one you've described, it'd probably be best to contact the support team. Typically, they'll work with you to provide suggestions that will pass review, and then put a note in the account to say that the 'exception' is OK in the future.
