I got an ad for [keyword1 kewyword2], and the ad is not showing in the SERPS. When I try to run the diagnostic tool it says that I don't have an ad like that.
I also have ads for "keyword1 keyword2" and keyword1 keyword2, so those should match if the []-one didn't.
I'll submit a ticket to the support team, but today the real rush starts, so waiting days for a response and even longer for a fix would really suck.
AWA, is it a known problem or am I missing something?
Bcc1234, as I mentioned in another post (linked to below) the diagnostic tool is both new, and also quite complex in that it juggles a vast amount of info second to second.
To be honest, I'm not surprised at the occasional off-target result, although of course I wish it were otherwise. And I think that the tool is likely to improve rapidly, especially if advertisers who get odd results write in to say so, and provide specific details (hint!).
So, many thanks for writing to support about it. ;)
I'd also add that the tool is really intended to be a tool to help advertisers to diagnose why their ads aren't showing, but it is not intended to be the only means to do this.
It is still useful to check all the usual issue within one's account, including:
* Ad approval status (disapproved?)
* Keywords status (on hold?)
* Actual daily budget vs. suggested daily budget (too low to show all the time?)
* Max CPC (is it lower than daily budget?)
* Position (i.e. is ad at the top? Is it on the second or third page?)
* And so forth...
