Hi,
On saturday my adwords campaigns stopped showing.
In the control panel it says they are active.
The status of keywords is normal.Doesn't say disabled any where. No outstanding money due. Tried pausing and then resuming to no avail.
Any ideas what would cause this?
Thanks

Try looking at your daily budget.

If it is set too low then your ads will only appear on a hit & miss basis.

Click the "recommended budget" button under campaign settings and see if it is larger than what you have.

Thanks for the reply.
The daily budget is fine.
I did raise it to see if it had an effect
but the ads still don't show.
Any other ideas?

Most common reasons ads aren't showing:

I have looked at all the common reasons.
There are around 20 campaigns running, up for around 6 months, all with different budgets but none the ads are showing. There are no declined payments.
Also using the new diagnostic tool when I enter one of the keywords it says no ad triggered.
If there was a problem with the ads I would have thought that it would be mentioned some where in the control panel, but its states active and all the keywords status is normal.

Does AdWords say that your ads are being shown (i.e. are your impressions/clicks still be recorded by G)?

I think the ads stopped showing on Saturday
Number of impressions for Sunday and Today is 0
Number of clicks is also 0
Thanks

Ghengis, I would really advise contacting AdWords support, who can take a look at the account and give you a precise answer.

However, if I were to guess, I'd say that the most probable cause(s) would be:

* Maximum CPC was changed to a figure higher than or equal to daily budget

* Ad(s) may have been disapproved

* Ad(s) may have been inadvertently deleted

* Account may have hit more than 100,000 impressions, and ads are being reviewed - as mentioned in eWhisper's list.

Thanks for the response AWA
I have contacted adwords support no reply yet
The Maximum CPC is £0.30 I upped the daily budget from £40 per day to £1000 so it can't be that.
If the ad were disapproved surely it would say so in the control panel + I have been running them for 6 months so it seems unlikely that they would be disapproved suddenly.
ADs have definately not been deleted as they still state active and I haven't deleted anything for a long time.
Account has had 3500000 impressions that rules that one out.
The support does seem abit slow a phone call would probably sort this out but I only spend £1400 per month so I don't qualify.
Any other ideas are most welcome

Ghengis:

same problem here... I am sure, that I configured everything fine... campaign active, keywords normal, daily budget fine, etc.

I even added a totally strange keyword and still got NO impression.

My personal guess is, they are reviewing without telling me... the internal status seems to be "ON HOLD"...

any news from you?

Hi Pontifex,

Yes google were reviewing the ads. They came back online late last night. Google could perhaps let you know when this happens to avoid people freaking out over nothing.
