It is on search result pages, but it is from adsense publishers. Will that be in "Content Network" or "Search Network"?

It is on the search network unless they changed it in the last few days. Basically a way to let scammers get at more advertisers since you need to enable search network to get AOL.

how can you tell if it part of content network or search network? is there a way to confirm it? like do a search and compare it with adsense preview etc? or search the same term on google and adsense search?

Here is the test I did:

I search keyword on Google.com, Search.AOL.COM and my adsense search. Google.com and AdsenseSearch have 90% in common. AOL is totally different from either. So, I think there are still difference of adsense search and search network. AOL may use a different geo format, as Google is no longer able to test the IP location from a proxy server via AOL.
