Hi there
I am new to this forum and also reasonably new to Adwords.
I have been having some success with my campaigns recently, ending up on the top spot for the most relevant search, then all of a sudden my ads weren't appearing anywhere.
I have tried editing the daily budget and max CPC all to no avail, and when I run the diagnostic tool on a keyword that was previously bringing me up top, it tells me that the keyword has no ads linked to it?
Also, the columns on the right hand side all have dashes in them rather than figures. Does this mean my keywords are not active? The campaign is active.
Any help appreciated

Welcome to Webmaster World! First of all, you want to ensure that your keywords are bringing traffic. AdWords will suspend an account due to inactivity, or remove listings due to inactivity as well. If you have the #1 slot for a keyword phrase that no one queries, your ad will disappear.

Good luck to you,

GAW has been taking accounts offline for some type of editorial process over the past several weeks.
We have called them on a few occasions, and we get the same answer:
The account was taken offline for an editorial check, and we'll make sure it get's back online as soon as possible.

Call the toll free number at GAW to verify if your account is going through this process.
If so, then you at least know what is going on.

I have asked specifics about this "editorial process", and have not gotten any "clear" answer as to why the account has to be taken offline for the process.

Maybe AWA can elaborate further? :)

Thanks for the replies.

The keyword is being queried all the time for some of my competitors, they are always on the top slot at the moment and Google estimated that the keyword would bring in many clicks per day. It's just my adwords that aren't working. :(

There doesn't seem to be a number that I can call at all - just an email contact form.
It's the UK Google I'm working with.
I will try and be patient then see what happens in a day or two!

Welcome to WebmasterWorld, MsMuffin!

The info quoted above leads me to ask you to check to make sure that the Ad Group in question actually still has an ad.

Sounds silly, I know - but still worth checking. In my two years with AdWords, I've probably talked with a dozen or more advertisers who were upset that their ads weren't showing at all.

Then, when I checked the account, I found that the ad itself had inadvertently been deleted by the advertiser, when they had intended to delete something else - usually a keyword.

Worth a look at any rate!

AWA

thanks for the welcome.

As you suggested, I checked my Adwords account. When I log into my Adwords account and go to the ad group in question, there is an ad shown at the top of the page. How do I check whether the keywords are linked to this ad?

Thanks for all your help
