I am actually full time employed by someone to build adword campaigns. A Huge problem i am having is that about 2/3 of my adgroups never even get launched. Now i emailed adwords about this, but they said it was because some of the keywords i was using were "flagged for review". Tonight i totally rebuilt my entire campaign (spent 12 hours), and the same keywords that were working just fine before are now not doing a thing. Just sitting there without a single impression. I would like to know possible reasons for this.

Sounds like you've been working on your campaigns quite a bit. Every time you tinker with keywords or ad text, the adgroup or ad goes up for review agian, so you have to wait - again.

See the thing is. When i start certain adgroups, they work just fine from the get go. Others just sit there. And i know its not because of a lack of impressions. Im also pretty confident that i am meeting the guidelines. So im trying to figure out why certain ones show, and certain others dont.

Nick3131, I am guessing that the issue at work here is the one referred to by fclark earlier in the thread, in combination with the message you received from adwords support about 'flagged' keywords.

A brief overview:

* Most ads will go live on Google right away, and then appear on partner sites after they have been reviewed and approved. (These would be the 'ones that show', per your message quoted above.)

* An exception to this can occur when certain types of keywords are 'flagged'. In this case, your ads will not show at all for those keywords, not even on Google, until those keywords have been reviewed and approved. (These will be the 'ones that don't show', per your message quoted above.)

* Now, let's say that those flagged keywords are reviewed and approved and the ads are showing. If you then delete those keywords in one Ad Group and add them in a new Ad Group, then they will (once again) not show until reviewed and approved. This is because the approval is dependent on the context of the ad, as well as the site that the ad links to, in the new Ad Group.
