Lets say I want to monitor who is advertising on 'blue widgets' world wide, I am usually unable to unless I manually go to google.fr, google.co.uk, google.whatever and I am able to use proxy's with IP addresses in all the countries where Google is doing business.
I have heard of some ways accessing Google using special URL's, but I don't exactly remember where I saw that and couldn't find it. Maybe I just don't see the obvious solution to this problem, and it's actually quite easy.
I don't want to use this to compare our own ads with others, or see the position of them (I can use the statistics for that), but I really want to see for example who advertises blue widgets in France (or any other traget country).
Any ideas?
Add "gl=xx&hl=yy" at the end of EACH returned search-result-URL. (xx=country-code, yy=target-language-code)
