Adwords tracking script on ASP page

I am testing out the Adwords tracking script so have put the code on an ASP page that is on my Windows Server.

Will the Adwords tracking link always show on the site or only for those visitors that have come through clicking on an Adwords ad?

Currently it is not showing. And, incidentely, my Adwords reports have stopped from the moment I went over to the tracking script. Is this normal? Is there a delay or something?

Until recently the image would have always shown, Jon12345. However, this was changed (as the result of advertiser feedback I might add) a week or so ago.

The image now shows only to visitors who have clicked on an AdWords ad to get to your site, and then found their way to the conversion page.
