Does Adword affect PR?

Hi all,

i know that this issue has been discussed before but i would like more advice that whether Adword will really affect PR of a page? For e.g, i own a website and would like to use adword to get visitors. But rumors say that if i use adwords, my SERPs keywords or position or PR in google will be affected. So is this true? Should i use adwords or not? Please any advice will be appreciated.

Haven't seen any evidence of it, so I'd say nope, it won't affect PR in any way.

In my opinion*, AdWords is a great way to drive targeted traffic to your site - but it will not influence your PR in any way.
