Where does Cost-Per-Action (CPA) apply from a A Publisher's Perspective?

Is it as simple as all the merchants that are connected to lets say ClickBank uses CPA?

Sorry if this doesn't directly relate to adwords but I hope that I can get a response from an adword publisher point of view :-)

Sincerely
Andla

By an AdWords publisher, do you mean someone running AdSense, Andla?

Well, if out of every 10 people clicking, one takes the action you want them to take, and, say, it costs 10c per click, then your CPA is 10c*10-$1.00

Skibum>> You got me there :-) Don't have much experience with Adsense and I wasn't even considering that Adsense also is an Adwords service.
Shame on me :-)

Thanks Killroy
