I found an adword campaign using my same title different advertisement but using my same domain to direct to. What’s this all about? Doesn’t make sense. Looking it seems like somebody other than myself is advertising for me.

If you're upset about an infringement, it's best to call Google AdWords Customer Service or email them. Faster results.

The idea of WebmasterWorld is to discuss issues important to webmasters, not to use WebmasterWorld as a batphone to Google. ;)

Don't know the CS phone number? You can do a site search on WebmasterWorld, or check out Hoovers.com

Just a friendly heads-up. :) Y

My concern was if somebody had learned to hijack an adwords account which would be interesting to all. I don't use other people do do my work for me. In this case it's a very smart affiliate who seems to have figured out something I've never seen mentioned anywhere.

That's better worded than an appeal for a response from AWA.

As far as the displayed URL is concerned, you can put anything you want in there for as long as it takes the QA team to review your ad.

Because the Google QA team has been known to make mistakes (speaking from several personal experiences), it's possible that some things will sneak by.

Nevertheless, it's easy to put bogus url's in there and direct the traffic elsewhere.

In which case, call the Google AdWords people or send them an email.

outland88, I really can't even begin to comment without more specifics, which are not possible on this Forum.

In my opinion, you'd be best served by writing to the AdWords support team, who can look in your situation in detail. I'd suggest using the 'Contact Us' link from within your account, rather than phoning - because it would be good to create a written record of this situation, which is attached to your account.

In your email, be very specific about your concerns, and be certain to include a complete copy of the suspicious ad(s) in question, the keywords for which they appear, etc..

Please don't send this to my attention in particular, however. Doing so would only slow things down for you. ;)
