I've been using Google for a few years, but really didn't understand it. I'm trying to add some keywords for other products that I carry that I hadn't been advertising on Google. I'm confused about what keywords to use. I guess we're not supposed to write our actual keywords in this form, so I'll come up with a fake example.

I want to attract people who have:
stomach knobby tumors

People may search for
"stomach knobby tumors"
"stomach knobby tumor"
"stomach tumors"
"knobby tumors"
"stomach knobbys"
"knobby"
"knobbys"
"tumor"
"tumors"

You get the idea. I've added several combinations as keywords, but don't know how they perform yet BECAUSE MY ADS DON'T SHOW yet. They're approved, they show, then I want to tweak one of them, and suddenly none of them show again for hours and hours. Makes it very hard to maintain the site. I'm confused about plurals. It seemed that I had to have both version of the keyword in order for them both to show. All my keywords are set as broad match, ie no "" or [] around the words.

Also, I have all 3 products under one campaign, 4 groups (one product in two groups). Maybe I need 3 campaigns? If I update only one campaign, do the other campaigns stay online while the one I change is being approved?

Also, when I so much as log onto my Adwords account, my ads stop showing in a search. I didn't make a change, I just looked at the information to compare what comes up in a search vs what I have set in Google, and suddenly my ads don't show up. Is this normal? Darn, now I've set myself behind several hours again. My ads just now started showing after making changes hours ago.

This really sounds like a daily budget issue.

Are your keywords showing impressions in your stats and you just can't find them in searches?

Here are a few threads with some information about this. If you check through these and don't find the reason, then more investigation is in order:
