Hello all, I've pretty much come to the end of the line here, because adwords is behaving in an extraordinary manner. Before I give in totally, can anyone suggest anything that might help - I would be grateful.

Firstly, there's the old problem of ads not appearing. I have a campaign with 3 UK ads. Two of them appear fine, the 3rd never appears at all. The bid is pretty high, the target is UK only, the daily budget > recommended, the ad has not been banned, nor is it underperforming (difficult), it is live, it has not been deleted, I'm Google-ing from the UK, I'm searching on the right keywords and I have simply no idea why it does not appear. Stats are not being updated for this campaign so I have nothing to go on.

Secondly, and more worryingly, I deleted an ad yesterday (in another campaign). It says "deleted" and stopped appearing. But now the impressions and clicks for that deleted ad have started to increase again!?

Can anyone advise?

I would guess that the immpressions and clicks you are seeing are the adwords sytem "catching up". They are probably clicks that you had from a few days ago and with the delay problems on adwords reporting right now, they are only just getting reported.

Yes, I hope so! It's weird that the only stats that are being updated is for the ad I deleted. Oh well... :¦

Problems like these can only be resolved by one entity - The AdWords customer service. I presume there is nothing remotely controversial about the wording of the third advertisement.
