my ads are being suspended because my "back button" does not return to
a Google search.

Hey Byron, Does your site contain a "pop-up"? Google does not allow pop-ups! With a pop-up, you have to make 2, sometimes more, clicks to get back to the google page. Hope this helps! shelbeesmom

byron_bay, this is almost certainly a change that has to be made at the site to which the ad links. It is the sort of thing that the site's webmaster should be able to do for you - or at least advise you on.
I am not hugely technical, as I've said many times before, so I won't be offended if anyone jumps in to correct me.
