Adwords - thoroughly dislike Overture.

Our sector is in magazine publishing & at its simplest we use cpc to increase visitor numbers to online versions of these titles.

Sorry industries include:

75+ B2B categories
Colleges and Universities which includes Online Degree Programs
Flowers/Gifts
Magazine subscriptions
I'm probably missing a couple more as well

I have never seen Google outperform Overture except back in the day when the top 2 spots on Google were fixed priced CPM deals. Ah the good days.

Varies by industry, by product, and even by term. I can't find a consistent trend. Almost always I can make both work well after tweaking ads and bids.
