i think my site is fine....but my conversions are low, and i'm guessing it's a lack of my traffic being well qualified.

i've heard that including the price of your service/product in your ad may reduce CTR, but generally increases conversion rate. has anyone done any research on this?

also, has anyone found other consistent means of increasing conversion rate just by changing your AD text?

Generally 'prequalifing' visitors with prices, exact product offerings, etc lowers CTR and increases conversions.

However, there are times when a higher CTR & lower conversion rate will cost you the same amount of money due to the bid rank formula [webmasterworld.com] (post 11).

Many times, its due to broad or phrase matching without a good negative keyword list that also leaks in a lot of unqualified traffic. There are time that adding a lot of negative keywords along with a good keyword list can qualifiy traffic without giving up a line of ad text just to prequalify them.

Also, sometimes the bottom line is better than ROI (Forget ROI - Just give me the profits post [webmasterworld.com])

Track what ads/keywords convert for you. Track which ones give you short visitor times. Track the necessary details, and you should see patterns emerge over time.
