Lately I have been finding that there is a long delay between creating a new ad and it working. The delay seems to be 24 hours or more.

Does this mean that Google is now checking all the new ads like Overture and not telling us?

This issue is particularly a problem with our ads in Japanese.

I know it's usually a while but it I haven't experienced that long a delay - 3-4 hours max. Yes, Google are checking ads (as they always have been) but they've been quite a bit more serious about it lately (in Australia, anyhow).

Nope, no new policy of that nature, whats up skip.

Certain types of ads/keywords will need to be reviewed before showing on Google, but this has always been the case. And is the exception rather than the rule.

A few of these special categories revolve around ads/keywords regarding pharma, gambling related sites, infants, children, teens, and so forth. This is not an exhaustive list, and the categories can vary with current events, world news, etc.

If you feel that something is amiss, I'd suggest contacting AdWords support, as they can look at the actual account, and tell you specifically what's up.

hmm,

my sales haven't been as usual today, after I had to close my old account yesterday and start a new one (due to the fact you cannot change from a Solo debit card to a Visa Delta).

Its set up EXACTLY the same as the old one. I've tried searching for my ads. They used to appear about 1 in 3 searches previously (on one particular keyword) and I tried about thriteen times earlier and it didnt get it once.

Is this normal? Will it pick up again? if so, how long is it likely to be? (bearing in mind that it is a new account, so will they have to check all ads?)

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks,
Craig

Odds are your IP has been flagged for multiple accounts, especially since the same keywords are being used.

If this is the problem, these issues often can only be resolved by calling G. (I've tried email support on this one - but all I ever get is 'the account is under review', and not resolved until I place a phone call).
