Any news on Trademarks?

Hi all

Sorry if I've missed a post that mentions this already. If so, please just point me in the right direction.

Has anyone heard if the new trademark policy is now in place? I was looking around at the Google site a bit, but couldn't find anything definitive.

As of yesterday, it still hasn't gone into effect. Should be coming up soon I hope!

Once we're allowed to use trademarks...watch out. Whomever is on top of things will surely make a fortune for the first few months until everyone else catches on.

I was looking at my disapproved list. All i'm going to say is ...'Google.com'...oh yes!

the terms on that page don not look substantially different than they have been for some time. Does not look like anything new to me.

Not sure how new it is but the difference is they police ad text and not what terms you can buy when the change comes about.

If you are a trademark owner (or represent a trademark owner) and have an objection to an advertiser's use of a term corresponding to your trademark in ad content that is consistent with the foregoing, please provide the following information in a signed letter on company stationery:
