Hi

I am new to this board.
I have just finished a e commerce site for my client and now is the time to post it in google adwords.

But have one problem at the moment. The clicks are showing up in the first bit of the google adwords control pannel under campaign Managment were my campaign name is, but when I click on the campaign name the individual ad groups are displayed but there is no clicks listed by them even though there have been clicks made.

Any ideas.

Thanks

CJM

Welcome to WW, CJM.

Adwords stats are not updated in real time. Often it takes hours for the stats to sync up.

Welcome to WebmasterWorld cjm26!

The clicks are showing up...under campaign Management were my campaign name is, but when I click on the campaign name the individual ad groups are displayed but there is no clicks listed...

This is not really unusual, cjm26. The statistics on the Campaign Summary page (which is the page you are taken to when you log in) run about three hours behind, and are updated first. Then Campaign and Ad Group pages are updated later.

The AdWords tech folks are working to narrow that gap, btw.

You will notice the mis-matching stats in the date range setting of 'Today', but you should see that the statistics match when you are looking at 'Yesterday' or farther in the past.

Hope that explains it.

Hi Bose

Thanks for your reply.

I have seen changes to the control panel since I last made a post saying what ad got the clicks but not what keywords got the clicks, but that would aply to what you are saying. This is my first E commerce site so I am very keen to opmimise the keywords and maybe to impatient to see sales.

Thanks again

Hi AdWordsAdvisor

Thanks for your reply also.

I know now know how it works. I have been on a massive learning curve from the day I said I could design a E commerce site for my client. And this is the last step but the most important.

Thanks again
