Does having an Adword account help you get listed in Google?
I have been trying to get listed in Google for ages and have had no luck.

Only thing helping is getting links, especially high PR links. Safest bet is a dmoz link. Adwords don't help at all if you don't have links pointing to the site.

I confirm Heini... I have both Premiums and Adwords and use in them some pages I don´t really count on as optimized pages for standard results.
These pages never came to Google´s core results, which confirms Google definitely separates Adwords/Premiums from the rest...

create a links page on your website related to it's content and search for other pages which are really valuable or the ones you like, then ask them to link you back. you should be listed soon then on google.

There's always a small chance someone will click on your adword , like your product or service, and decide to link to you as a result :)Any exposure helps...

If you are asking if having an adwords program helps your page rank or site listing in the unpaid serps....then no.
Google doesn't favor those who choose to use the adwords program.
