When trying to change my bid pricing more than half the time when I click "save" I am taken to the login page and have to log back in. Also the changes have not been made. Any ideas what causes this? Can't be a cookie issue because I accept all. Thoughts?

This may or may not help, but if you take a while to think about your bid (or are working on the problem by doing something other than clicking around on the AdWords control panel), then G's vaild login cookie may time out due to what it perceives as inactivity. G has a time limit (not sure the actual amount of time) where if you haven't clicked on a link in "X" number of minutes, the valid login cookie expires.

If that's not that case and you're moving quickly through AdWords, then you may need to delete your cookies and empty your browser's cache.

It is not a time out issue. Only seconds are passing.

Zeus661, here are some things to try, in addition to the suggestions already made:

* Consider trying another browser

* Update your browser to a recent version, if it is very old

* Check your browser security settings:

Microsoft Internet Explorer (MS IE)

1. Select 'Tools' from the MS IE browser menu.
2. Select 'Internet Options.'
3. Select the 'Advanced' tab.
4. Under 'Security,' check both 'Use SSL 2.0' and 'Use SSL 3.0.'

Other settings to check (sample steps for IE shown):

1. Click 'Tools' at the top of your IE browser window.
2. Select 'Internet Options' from the menu.
3. Under the Security Tab go the 'Trusted Sites' icon.
4. Click 'Sites', enter 'https://adwords.google.com', and 'Add'.
5. Click 'Ok'

And:

1. Click 'Tools' at the top of your IE browser window.
2. Select 'Internet Options' from the menu.
3. Under the Privacy Tab go the 'Trusted Sites' icon.
4. Click 'Edit', enter 'google.com', and 'Allow'.
5. Click 'Ok'.

I hope that these steps will help. If not, I'd suggest writing to AdWords Support, describing your problem and when it happens, your operating system, browser (and version), etc.

I am using IE 6.0 with all patches installed. Set to accept all cookies. Guess I will have to deal with it for now.

Are you using a proxy like Anonymizer etc?

No, I got a return email from Google and they say they fixed something. Thanks

I've experienced the same problem but found a simple solution. I discovered that if I waited at least 2 seconds after making changes before hitting the Save button that it worked OK.
