Can someone tell me what the syntax is for auto inserting the keyword into my headline and description?

{KeyWord: Default String}

The default string is just a phrase that you want to show up if they type in a query that is too long for the ad to display.

If you use this, don't put misspellings or very long keywords into the same ad group or else it will be disapproved.

Can someone clarify this for me? I believe what the above is saying, is that if I were to insert that above text, "{KeyWord: Default String}" into the header of my adword ad...

And one of my keywords was "blue widgets", that the ad would show up with "blue widgets" in the header, bolded?

And what if I wanted to put:

Free {KeyWord: Default String}

Would that return a header with "Free blue widgets" with of course blue widgets bolded?

Thanks :)

I think this is still the best thread to date on dynamic titles. If there's another one, please post it:
