account on hold?

started account yesterday, still no impressions

I just started and account last night with my partner. I have checked our account and we don't have any clicks or impressions. Is there a hold time for new accounts?

All of our keywords are in the moderate and supposedly showing, but I can't see our ads anywhere.

Any ideas or tips?
Thanks,
Mac

I am experiencing the exact same problem. I signed up yesterday and so far zero impressions. The ads are just not showing up, and I know my cpc is high enough.

The shopping list of possible causes is fairly lengthy, and hard to pin down without a lot more detail.

As always, in cases where the problem is not immediately evident, I'd suggest contacting AdWords support - using the 'Contact Us' link on each page of your account. A look into the specifics of the actual account will most often net a quick solution.

AWA,
Thanks for your reply. I emailed in Sat I believe. I raised my max cpc and changed the text of the ads, following the guidelines.

Sometimes it seems like it takes them a long time to get back to you, but i am sure they will respond soon.

And still nothing, no word or anything besides the auto reply I had on Sat.

Hey,

I had this happen once with a Campaign. Sometimes the sort of product you are selling, will stall the start time. I was promoting some Roulette product from ClickBank, and it took like 2 days for them to start it. Maybe they had to go over it? Not sure.

I wish it was that, I'm only selling household goods. Can't think of why that would be a "high-risk" ad campaign.

Hmm.. well the only place you will see them at first is Google. Since you're just beginning w/ Adwords, are you sure your matching options are set up correctly?

As for reply time from Adwords support, you'll probably have to wait a couple of days. I don't belive they work on the weekends either.

your_store,
Yeah, I have everything setup correctly. This is really starting to bug the heck outta me. It's been since Friday night when I started the account and still nothing.

Sorry for the frustration, macrost.

I've taken an overview of our email turnaround time, and it seems clear that your email from Friday should have been answered long before now.

(It is true that emails are answered on a very limited basis on the weekends, as noted by your_store. As a result, Monday is our busiest email day - and turnaround time tends towards being longer. In any case, though, turnaround is almost always 24 hours and under on business days.)

So, I wonder if your email may have been responded to, and the response filtered out by your email system? This happens with some regularity, as folks set up filters to protect themselves from spam.

If this is not the case, I'd suggest phoning, or emailing again - being sure to use the 'Contact Us' link that associates your email with account in question.

In any case, I certainly hope that your issue is resolved and your account is back running soon.

BTW, I've just stopped in for a few minutes between other tasks. Very busy day today, and most likely won't be able to get back here until the afternoon.

Well ive noticed something similar, except I am receiving clicks. Im getting charged for clicks, though my internal linking code shows no uniques and the ads are not showing up at all. I have an average position of 1-3 on all my ads, but they are not showing all of the sudden, while clicks keep getting counted...

anyone have any insight?

I had this problem as well last weekend. I added in a few ad groups and no impressions. The reason I finally figure out was that the actual ad was not created. The ad group was there but for some reason my ad did not save when I created the group.

Goto the ad (where the kewywords are displayed). An example of the ad should be displayed near the top, if not it will say Create Ad. Click on that and recreate your ad.

Hope this helps.

AWA,
Is there anything I can do? I've already sent 2 emails, one last Sat and one just this past Monday.
Thanks

I'm having the same problem.. I wouldn't have thought it would be this big of a pain to buy traffic.

I am having similar problem. I had paused campaigns for a few days and then tried to Resume some, they say active and were working before. Still no impression or clicks now.

Sent an email last Friday to support and haven't heard anything either.
