Hi all,

I use Adwords for a few months and my account is getting slower and slower.

I need to try to access some big campaigns at least 10 times before actually accessing them.
Also, I use to be able to add hundreds of keywords at once, but now I get an error message "page cannot be displayed" if I try to add more than 100.

I noticed that the more Ad Groups I have in one Campaign the slower the access.

I've deleted more than half my keywords and ad groups but still the same. :-(

How can I get it back to normal?

PS: I'm accessing from Europe and my account is in Euro. In case it helps.

Thanks in advance.

I've been seeing similar kind of problems with the interface being slow. Alot of simple reports time out alot on me.

Thanks AWA! Very helpful.

Just one thing:
It says 2000 keywords per campaign.
Do you really recommend only 2000 keywords per Campaign or is it a mistake?

Cheers

Nope, no mistake, Gabachao. The recommended max is 2000 keywords/Campaign.

While the AdWords system will 'let' you use more than 2000 keywords per campaign, we do recommend that you follow the limits in my earlier post. Beyond those numbers, you may notice difficulty in navigating within your account, slowness getting into the account, campaign, Ad Group, etc.

Sort of like a rev limit in your car. You can drive at 9500 RPM, but it may not be the best idea - because there's an offsetting disadvantage. ;)
