This is a bit irritating and I can't seem to get an answer out of Google. I'm experimenting with low quantity search terms and one of them (which has been running for about a day) has acheived less than 1000 impressions with a CTR of 0.7%.
Its been disabled and I cannot see why. The Google FAQ states that keywords are disabled if they have more than 1000 impressions and less than the minimum CTR (0.5%?). I don't fall into either category so what am I not reading right?
This is particularly annoying as the conversion rate (free signups) is running at 50%+.
Can anyone point this poor guy in the direction of the smallprint I haven't read?
Thanks.
The 0.5% minimum CTR requirement is for purely Google searches only, excluding partner sites.
The 0.7% CTR you see reported in your campaign management stats is for both Google and it's partner sites ie AOL etc.
Unfortunately there is no way of knowing your Google only CTR from your campaign stats. (I wish there was, but there's not)
Therefore your CTR could well show above the 0.05% minimum level in your stats, but still be below the required 0.05% level on Google only searches, hense the disablement.
I hope this helps to explain things a little.
