Sunday night I tried to log into my account, but failed after many attempts. I finally succeeded after resetting my password and didn't think of anything then. Monday, I realized that all adgroup CTRs dived to 30% of what they were the day before. Some KW with 30,000 impressions the day before are now down to 0. I should add that my campaign consists of about 90,000 KW with broad match, exact match and phrase match terms. I put a call to Adword but haven't heard yet. I don't know if this is related to the password issue, but can anyone explain this and can anyone prescribe a remedy?

Did you change the ad copy recently? Or just the destination/display URL perhaps?

vanderbolt, if this hasn't resolved itself by now, I'd suggest contacting AdWords support. A look at the actual account would most likely result in a solution in short order.

I wonder if your 90,000 keywords may be a factor? AdWords folks suggests a maximum of 50,000 keywords per account. Beyond that number, account issues may occur. (The most common effect being very slow navigation within the account.)

Just to repeat this often repeated info - the suggested limits are:

* 25 Campaigns per account
* 100 Ad Groups per Campaign
* 750 keywords in a single Ad Group
* 2000 keywords in a single campaign
* 50,000 keywords in an account

90,000 keywords huh? I bet 90% of them wouldn't have received a single impression in the last 30 days.

Go to each of the AdGroups and click on the FILTER KEYWORD link. Under filters, select NUMBER OF IMPRESSIONS and IS EQUAL TO. In the field, enter 0 and hit the "Filter Keywords" tab.

Select all the keywords and hit the DELETE button. Repeat the process for all the AdGroups.

If a particular keyword has not received any impression in the last 30 days, the possibility of receiving any impressions in the future is quite negligible.

Got the problem resolved. My account manager was replaced by a new manager and as a result of the transfer, ads were held back from GG partner sights. Or at least that is the explanarion I was given by new GG manager. Now stats are mostly back to normal with some exceptions. Thanks AWA and all for the advice.
