Where do I find out the advised price for specific search words and topics?

You get the estimated bid prices right in your Adwords account for your keywords.

Or are you wanting to find the most profitable keywords for AdSense purposes?

This may be a good time to jump in an mention the 'Account Tasks' section of the AdWords FAQ, in which 23 common tasks are detailed.

[adwords.google.com...]

The Traffic Estimator, which is probably what you are looking for wonderboy, is mentioned as #2.

If you don't have an account yet, the Traffic Estimator tool is available in a different place, from the AdWords home page. I'm not sure if it's OK for me to mention exactly where to find it in this forum, as it smacks a bit of promotion of the AdWords program. Mods?

lol Jenstar, how sinister.

I was looking for the thing where you type in your keywords and they give you a price, so I can see how much I would have to spend for a certain amount of visitors in a future campaign.
I may have been making it up, but I am sure there is such a thing out there =0
