Anyone else getting these calls?

I started adwords only a few months ago, and it seems that just about everyday I get a call from some guy that has some type of "proprietary software" that will guarantee a number one placement on adwords. What really pi$$e$ me off is that they are obviously getting my site and phone number from a google search and therefore I'm being charged via CTR for them to bug me.

Chances are if you ignore them, they'll eventually leave you alone.

I've never gotten calls, but I have received email offers similar to what you are describing.

Like you, the first thing that came to my mind was this person found out about my site by clicking on my ad and costing me money!

Eventually, they'll give up. If they don't, email them or call them back and let them know you never intend to buy from them. That should make them go away.

I got both phone calls and e-mails. I just ignored the e-mails. For the phone calls,I told them they can send me for free. They got my phone number or address from my domain name registration and E-mail from my web site.

I usually ask them if they're so good why they need to cold call me - and then offer to help not only get good rankings with Google, but have they ever heard of that small Yahoo directory...

No matter what position i had when I used Adwords it was no of no use. But now that I rank on first page for all of my key words I get bulk traffic from Google but had almost non from Adwords. I discontinued Adwords.
