Am I in Germany?

I keep on getting German adverts

I've a UK based IP address. I know; the ISP is just around the corner from here and I'm inthe UK.

I keep on getting German AdWords; not just in AdSense but even in Google.com itself. It's not just URLs for .de sites but entire adverts in German. This occurs on a number of sites.

Anyone else noticed this recently?

I have seen this too.

Perhaps it is because some German advertisers have their campaign settings set to the UK option.

I have a lot of German and other language ads here in North America. I don't know what they means. Sometimes, I block them out.

Many advertisers, and especially newer ones, target their ads to 'All Languages' and 'All Countries'.

This means the ads will show everywhere in the world, for anyone using any language interface. (Note: the ads appear as-written in other lanquage interfaces - they are not translated.)

For those who wish to review their own language and country targeting, you can easily do this in the 'Edit Campaign Settings' page of each of your campaigns.
