Some of our competitors are using our branch name in Google Adwords as a key word. Is there anything I could do? We have our branch name registered as a trade mark.

Contact Adwords and they will give you directions for having this resolved.

Typically you have to supply the following information (on company letterhead).

1. Name of Company
2. Contact information (including your email address)
3. List of trademark(s) at issue
4. The identity of the advertisement(s) at issue (via the URL stated on
the bottom line of the ad)
5. Whether you are concerned with:
- The advertisement's content, or
- The keywords that trigger the advertisement, or
- Both
6. If your site has an affiliate program, state whether affiliates are
permitted to use the trademark as a keyword or in their ad content.

And then you fax it and mail it to them.

They will give you the address.

Good luck!

The trademark policy is also available in the AdWords FAQ. Go to the page below, and follow the links for additonal info.

[adwords.google.com...]

BTW, you can always find this page by going to the searchable AdWords FAQ and searching on 'trademark'.
