Unable to edit creatives!

Only where there is more than one creative

It is Sunday in the US and I am stuck with this problem - I can see the Edit and Delete buttons against creatives only where there is just one creative in the ad group.

All the multiple-creatives ad groups have no Edit links visible!

Anyone else seeing this? Any workarounds?

- not a happy chappy

Scroll down to the bottom of the page to edit/delete creatives when you have more than one.

Only one ad is shown at the top. It, together with the rest of the ads (and their edit/delete links) come after the list of keywords.

dmorison,

Been there, done that etc. :)

Still no edit buttons there. Got a screen dump to prove it.

I can't be sure as it happens very quickly, but since I have edited the individual keywords to point to the new domain, when I test a live ad, it does go to the new location.

I have destination URLs in both the creatives and the keywords (to track creative vis-a-vis keyword and it seems that the keyword URL prevails.

Stone the crows!

(Local expression)

Trying to apply lateral thinking, I logged in with a USA proxy server and I can see the blessed Edit and Delete buttons.

I disabled the proxy and logged back and the links are still there.

Something is/was definitely wrong. Still have the screen dump...

Are you sure the campaign wasn't paused? I noticed a while ago that the 'edit' button disappeared when a campaign was paused.

I don't remember which state it was in - yes it was paused for a few hours when the new site went up, but I resumed it once the first editable ad group was updated.

IOW, in one of those states I could only edit one ad group's creatives, not all. That one had a single creative; the others were all multiple creatives. Then the only change I made was to change my web proxy to the US, refreshed the page, and I saw the Edit links for all. Then I logged out of Adwords, got back to my Aussie proxy (transparent or none), and I could still see the Edit links.

I am hoping the answer to this may be simple, anallawalla.

If your are in the 'View All Ad Groups' view of your account, the Edit and Delete buttons are not available.

However, if you go to a view of an individual Ad Group, the buttons will be there.

Hope that does it!

Bingo. :)

But I still see my original situation -- in that view, the ad group with only one creative shows the Edit and Delete buttons; the rest don't. Perhaps that anomaly needs to be addressed.

I agree that it is a bit inconsistent, and I'll pass that feedback on anallawalla

In the meantime, I'm glad that you can now edit at will! ;)
